Structured Packing
High-efficiency corrugated and gauze media for distillation, absorption and stripping — in metal, plastic and ceramic.
Choosing a structured packing material
Structured packing arranges corrugated sheets or wire gauze in ordered layers to give high separation efficiency and low pressure drop — the preferred medium for vacuum and high-purity distillation and for column revamps. The choice of material sets the temperature and chemical limits. Structured packing (สตรัคเจอร์แพ็คกิ้ง) ให้ประสิทธิภาพแยกสูงและความดันตกคร่อมต่ำ.
| Parameter | Metal | Plastic | Ceramic |
|---|---|---|---|
| Max temperature | alloy-dependent | PP 100 °C / PVDF 150 °C | up to 800 °C |
| Chemical resistance | grade-dependent | excellent | acid ≥99.5% (excl. HF) |
| Efficiency | very high (gauze highest) | moderate–high | high |
| Best for | vacuum & temperature-sensitive distillation | corrosive absorption (HCl, H₂SO₄) | corrosive + high-temperature + vacuum |
