Flexible Linear Anode

Continuous flexible linear anodes for impressed current cathodic protection — very uniform current at low driving voltage for long pipelines, tank bottoms and shielded areas.

FLEXIBLE LINEAR ICCP ANODE

Flexible Linear Anodes

A flexible linear anode is a continuous anode element — an MMO or conductive-polymer core with a copper conductor, packaged in carbonaceous backfill inside a fabric sock. Laid parallel and close to the structure, it delivers very uniform current at low driving voltage, ideal where conventional groundbeds cannot throw current evenly. Flexible linear anode (แอโนดเส้นต่อเนื่อง) ให้กระแสสม่ำเสมอสำหรับท่อยาวและพื้นถังเก็บ.

  • Continuous anode — very uniform current
  • Low driving voltage, close to the structure
  • Ideal for high-resistivity & shielded areas
  • Removes the hot-spots of discrete anodes
  • Supplied in continuous coils for long runs
  • MMO or conductive-polymer core options

Applications: long buried pipelines, tank-bottom grids, cased crossings, congested rights-of-way, poorly-coated sections, close-interval protection

Installation Configurations

Flexible linear anode trenched parallel to a buried pipeline

Parallel to Pipeline

Long buried pipelines

Trenched parallel to the pipeline at a set offset, giving continuous, uniform protection along the entire run — including poorly-coated or electrically-shielded sections.

Flexible linear anode laid in a grid beneath a storage tank bottom

Tank-Bottom Grid

Storage tank bottoms

Laid in a grid beneath storage-tank bottoms to deliver even current across the full base, where access is limited and uniform distribution is critical.

Account for current attenuation along the run, conductor sizing and offset from the structure; long runs may be fed from both ends to balance output. Most products are made to customer drawings and project specifications.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a flexible linear anode?

A flexible linear anode is a continuous anode element — an MMO or conductive-polymer core with a copper conductor, packaged in carbonaceous backfill inside a fabric sock. Laid parallel and close to the structure, it delivers very uniform current at low driving voltage, ideal where conventional groundbeds cannot throw current evenly.

Why choose a linear anode over discrete anodes?

Discrete anodes concentrate current at points, leaving gaps along a long or shielded structure. A continuous linear anode spreads current evenly over the whole run at low voltage — protecting poorly-coated pipelines, cased crossings and tank bottoms where uniform, close current is essential.

Where are flexible linear anodes installed?

Two common configurations: trenched parallel to a pipeline at a set offset for continuous protection along the run, and laid in a grid beneath storage-tank bottoms for even current across the base. Account for current attenuation along the run, conductor sizing and offset — long runs may be fed from both ends.

Can the same technology be used for AC mitigation?

Yes. The same linear technology is applied to AC-mitigation systems for pipelines that parallel high-voltage power lines, draining induced AC safely to earth. PCX also supplies gradient-control mats, AC decouplers and related products — see CP equipment & materials.

Do you supply flexible linear anodes in Thailand, and how do I get a quotation?

Yes. PCX supplies flexible linear anodes in continuous coils across Thailand, sourced from qualified international manufacturers and supplied to your project specification. Send us the structure, length, current demand and installation configuration, and we will return a quotation.
