03 / CATHODIC PROTECTION · EQUIPMENT & MATERIALS
CP Equipment & Materials
The power, monitoring and connection products used within impressed-current and galvanic cathodic protection projects — rectifiers, reference electrodes, test stations, cables and mitigation products.
Power, monitoring & connection
Beyond the anodes, a cathodic protection system relies on the equipment that powers, monitors and connects it. PCX supplies the full range of CP equipment and materials, sourced from qualified international manufacturers and supplied to standard or customer specification across Thailand — specified to the protection current, environment and monitoring requirements of the project.
Power & monitoring

Transformer Rectifiers
ICCP power supply
Convert AC to controlled DC for impressed-current installations. Air- or oil-cooled, with manual or automatic potential control, for outdoor and hazardous-area service and remote monitoring.

Reference Electrodes
Potential monitoring
Permanent and portable electrodes for accurate structure-to-electrolyte potential measurement — Cu/CuSO₄ for soil, Ag/AgCl for seawater, and zinc reference types.

Test Stations & Junction Boxes
Measurement · connection
Potential test points, shunt and current measurement, bond and resistance boxes — above-grade and flush — providing measurement, current control and connection across the structure.
Connection & materials

CP Cables
Anode & header runs
HMWPE / XLPE insulated single- and multi-core cathodic-protection cables, direct-burial rated, for anode, header and structure connections in buried and immersed service.

Insulation & Tapes
Sealing · coating repair
Joint, coating and insulation materials for connections, holiday repair and coating reinstatement — including connection sealing, wrap tapes and cast-weld kits.

AC Mitigation
Induced-AC control
Gradient-control mats, AC decouplers, linear mitigation electrodes and surge/fault protection that control induced AC on pipelines paralleling high-voltage power lines.
Frequently Asked Questions
What equipment is needed for an impressed current (ICCP) system?
Beyond the anodes, an ICCP system needs a transformer rectifier to supply controlled DC, reference electrodes to monitor the protection potential, test stations and junction boxes for measurement and connection, and CP cables to link the anodes, header and structure. PCX supplies all of these, along with insulation, tapes and AC-mitigation products.
What types of transformer rectifier do you supply?
Air-cooled and oil-cooled transformer rectifiers with manual or automatic potential control, in configurations for outdoor and hazardous-area installation and ready for remote monitoring. Output is specified to the protection current and the number of anodes in the system.
Which reference electrode should I use?
Copper/copper-sulphate (Cu/CuSO₄) electrodes are used in soil, silver/silver-chloride (Ag/AgCl) in seawater, and zinc reference electrodes where a rugged permanent reference is required. Both permanent (buried or immersed) and portable electrodes are available — matched to the environment and monitoring requirement.
Do you supply CP equipment and materials in Thailand, and how do I get a quotation?
Yes. PCX supplies transformer rectifiers, reference electrodes, test stations, cables, tapes and AC-mitigation products across Thailand, sourced from qualified international manufacturers and supplied to standard or customer specification. Tell us the protection current, environment and monitoring requirements and we will specify the equipment and return a quotation.
